Roberts - Miller Children's Fund
A special endowment fund with a stated purpose of providing “aid and comfort” for children under 18 years of age with serious medical or related needs where neither family, insurance nor public financial resources are sufficient to fill the need. Applicants must be residents of North Carolina.
Allocation Categories
- For medically or mentally disadvantaged children where public or family resources are not available. Emphasis on special equipment is typical, though not the only purpose.
- For disadvantaged children with orthodontic needs to correct significant disfigurement or
threats to the overall health of the child -- where public or family resources are not available.
- Special grants to institutions/programs providing assistance to group(s) of children within the scope of the Fund’s purpose and mission.
Any professional fees included in a grant normally assume that the provider is participating in the support through some appropriate reduction in fee charged.
