How is the match percentage determined?

• After all gifts are recorded and acknowledged – 3 to 4 weeks after the run – the Foundation calculates the match percentage based on the total amount of match money raised and the total amount raised under each eligible organization’s $10,000 cap.
• All eligible participating non-profits will receive 100% of money recommended on their behalf plus a match up to their $10,000 cap. Supposing a 1:2 match, see the following examples:

Organization A raises $15,000 ($10,000 is eligible for matching funds)
$10,000 x .50 = $5,000
$15,000 (total raised) + $5,000 (match) = $20,000

Organization B raises $5,000
$5,000 x .50 = $2,500
$5,000 + $2,500 = $7,500
