George and Patricia Barnard Scholarship

$20,000
- $5,000/year
- Renewable for another three years
Dr. George and Mrs. Patricia Barnard and family have established a renewable “We Believe in You!” scholarship.
This $20,000 scholarship ($5,000/year and renewable for another three years) is to be awarded annually to a Gaston County public, private, or charter high school senior, and a resident of Gaston County.
The Barnard family seeks to assist one graduate in the pursuit of her or his dreams of a college education. Contact your high school counselor for more information on this scholarship.
- GPA of 3.0 or better
- College Preparatory Course of Study
- Evidence of participation in extracurricular activities
- Evidence of leadership, motivation, and initiative
- Evidence of strong financial need
- The Committee particularly values students who have achieved success even when facing personal or family adversity.
- The Committee offers on-going mentoring and support to all Scholars
- All Scholars qualify for a one-time "Stultz Internship" stipend (restrictions apply).
