Belmont Historical Society's Pat E. Haney Scholarship was established to support a graduating senior from a Belmont school who is pursuing further education.
Each year, the $1,000 scholarship will honor one graduating student from a public, charter or private school located in Belmont, NC.

- Honoring one graduating student from a public, charter or private school located in Belmont, NC
Established by the Belmont Historical Society and awarded to a student from Belmont.
- Weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Accepted into an accredited 2 or 4 year college
- Evidence of participation in school or community extracurricular activities
- Evidence of initiative, motivation, strong character and leadership
- Evidence of financial need
