The family of Sam L. and Ruth M. Beam established this scholarship in their memory to recognize their commitment to community service through their time, talent, and treasure.

The Sam L. and Ruth M. Beam Memorial Scholarship will provide support to a Gaston or Lincoln County graduating senior pursuing a degree at a 4 year college or university. 
Each year, the $2,500 scholarship will honor one applicant from Gaston or Lincoln County Schools.
