The Dr. William & Karen Hunter Science Scholarship was established to support a Gaston County graduating high school senior pursuing further education in the field of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry).
Dr. Hunter is a board-certified neurosurgeon with over two decades of experience. Dr. Hunter's practice, The Spine Clinic at Neuroscience and Spine Center of the Carolinas, LLP is affiliated with CaroMont Health in Gastonia, NC.
Each year the one-time $500 scholarship will honor one graduating student from a public, charter, or private school.
