Gaston Community Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Shelby Wilmer to our team in the role of Executive Assistant and Office Operations.

Shelby joins the Foundation having recently relocated to Gastonia with her husband and young daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Elon University and a Master of Education from the University of Virginia. Her professional background spans more than six years in counseling, student success, alumni engagement, and relationship building, through which she has demonstrated a consistent commitment to supporting individuals and strengthening the communities they are a part of.

In her role at GCF, Shelby will oversee day-to-day office operations, provide executive support, manage board communications, and serve as a resource for building tenants. Her breadth of experience and dedication to purposeful work make her a valuable addition to the Foundation’s staff.
