Gaston Community Foundation’s Community Grants Cycle is open June 1–June 30. Gaston County nonprofits are invited to submit needs and project ideas for program and organizational support, with awards guided by a careful review process.
Gaston Community Foundation is proud to recognize the 2026 Albert G. Myers Scholarship recipients—eight outstanding students receiving $20,000 over four years through the First Gaston Foundation Fund to support college at the school of their choice.
TCGC hosted HELP Carolina, Inc. at its March meeting, then packed 120 care bags for unhoused neighbors in Gastonia. The project was powered by an $800 student-led TCGC grant written and executed by Ashbrook students Abby Helms and Tupelo Guzauskas.
TCGC spent a meaningful evening with Least of These Carolinas—touring the new facility, packing Bags of Hope, and learning how LOTC supports children affected by foster and kinship care through resources like supplies, scholarships, and summer camp.
At their January meeting, the TCGC Board voted to distribute nearly $5,000 from the TCGC endowment to support eight student-led projects with local nonprofit partners—strengthening services, expanding access, and meeting real community needs.
January is a season of action at the Foundation. Through listening, learning, and collaboration with donors, nonprofits, advisors, and civic partners, we’re aligning charitable resources with meaningful outcomes and the needs ahead.
A heartfelt year-end message of gratitude to the donors, nonprofit partners, and community leaders who helped strengthen lives across Gaston County in 2025—and an invitation to carry that momentum into 2026 as we look ahead to our 50th anniversary in 2028.
As we enter this season of gratitude, Gaston Community Foundation is especially thankful for the donors, volunteers, and nonprofit partners whose generosity strengthens Gaston County. Together, we’re turning compassion into lasting impact and building a stronger tomorrow.
